dr. Sonia De Cristofaro – Is an Italo- American psychoanalyst living and practicing in Milan. Following a British High School education she graduated from the University of Padova with a Masters degree in Clinical and Community Psychology. She continued her studies specializing in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy for Adolescents and Adults and spent her post graduate clinical internship years at ABA Milan specializing in the field of eating disorders. In 2000 she began her private practice catering to the English, Italian and French speaking communities in Milan. Founder of Studio “Psicoanalisti Associati”, she is member of the Italian Psychoanalytic Society (SPI/IPA). Since 2004 she has been working in the field of addiction disorders and double diagnosis at San Paolo Hospital out patient centre. Beyond her clinical work Dr. de Cristofaro has been active in the field of school psychology and prevention programs for adolescents. In 2001 she developed the school psychology program for the International School of Milan where she was the consultant for high school students until 2011. dr. Andrea Bocchiola – Between 1991 and 1997 he obtained his first university degree in Philosophy with a thesis in theoretical philosophy at Università Cattolica in Milan after which he won a scholar ship from the Italian Institute for Philosophical Studies in Naples where he worked with Hans Georg Gadamer, Jacques Derrida, Paul Ricoeur and Carlo Sini. Through his studies he developed greater interest in Merleau-Ponty’s fundamental phenomenology and in philosophical genealogy, these being the branches of philosophy closest to Freudian psychoanalysis. During the same period, under the supervision of Prof. Umberto Artioli, he was amongst the first Italian researchers to undertake the task of confronting the unexplored mass of Antonin Artaud’s Cahiers de Rodez. In 1997 he obtained his second degree in Clinical Psychology at the Universiy of Turin, thus continuing with a specialization in short term psychotherapy and psycho-diagnostics at the Institute for the study and research on psychic disorders lead by Prof. Zapparoli. In 2001 he obtained a DEA in psychoanalysis under the supervision of Sofie De Mijolla-Mellor at the University of Paris VII Denis Diderot (2001) and was selected to attend the seminars on the history of Freudianism held by Elisabeth Roudinesco. Since 2004 he teaches Pedagogy, Moral Philosophy and Ethics at the Federico II University in Naples. From 2009 he has been visiting professor at the Italian Institute of Group Psychotherapy in Milan.Co-founder of Studio Bandello, he continues his training as an IPA candidate at the Italian Psychoanalytic Society (SPI) .
